A very unique swimbait from the French company Fiiish, the Blaster Shad is best looked at as a swimbait system rather than just swimbait.
Featuring a well refined profile, the ABS head integrates into a soft swimbait boot tail that gives it a very lively and unique action. This bait also has quick interchangeable weights called Player blocks allowing shallow or deeper presentations and a clip which keeps the hook locked to the body.
This bait in various sizes has had used extensively in Lake Tinaroo, producing numerous barramundi well over a meter straight out of the packet. Although designed for Pike, the lure can be upgraded easily and also does not affect the swim, although its standard hooks are up to the tasks on most occasions.

The stunning Musky Innovations Swimming' Dawg feature a flexible internal harness in a solid super soft body providing unmatched suppleness and a great rolling action and tail movements on the drop. When barramundi are feeding on large mullet high in the water column or on shallow flats, this is the perfect representation. Hand made and painted in Wisconsin USA, these are a hard to come by premium bait.
The shallow variations are a rounder profiled bait, with the regular version a thinner profile providing more shimmy than roll. Both versions get chewed by the barra so are worth having both in the box.

Handmade in the US for giant musky, this 8 inch soft swimbait has a solid internal harness and super sharp 2/0 trebles. Due to its large boot tail construction this plastic produces a powerful tail thump that generated great movement through the body of the lure, prefect for producing a good vibration signature in dirty water or for calling in super sized Barra from a distance away.
Super sharp and surprisingly strong standard trebles (good up to 115cm barra during product testing. I recommend upgraded to a 2/0-3/0 4X treble for any higher drag situations in snaggy country.

The swimbait has quite a unique action which has proven irresistible to big Barras and and has put countless meter plus fish on the decks of our boats through the years.
